In 2006, Delta Medical College commenced its journey owing to the mission of Professor Dr. Syed Mukarram Ali, an internationally appreciated histopathologist committed to developing a centre of excellence & an ideal institution. He was accompanied by our Trustee members who consisted his strong support network. The college is governed by a Governing Body combining lightly the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Dhaka University and a Trustee Board.
The college provides a five-year MBBS and a five-year BDS degree complying with every standard of Bangladeshi Medical and Dental Council (BM&DC).
This helps Delta Medical College in better and proper understanding of the subjects as per requiredmodern tools and techniques of teaching methodology updated. Throughout the process, teaching staff monitor and guide those involved. The academic schedule has to be strictly adhered to according to the academic calendar with numerous extra-curricular activities scheduled around the year. Delta has its own taste of amicability with a non-political and purely academic atmosphere. Since 2012 Delta Medical College Journal is publishing regularly twice a year whichis recognized by BM&DC and indexed in several international databases.
Delta Medical College did not lose its focus over the years apart from multiple hurdles and we are committed to battle against all odds without compromising on our commitment for maintaining the academic activities.
