Gonoshasthaya Institute of heath sciences is a new institute of education which is granted by Government of People’s Republic of Bangladesh as well as Bangladesh Medical and Dental council (BMDC). Under the stewardship of this Institute, Gonoshasthaya Samajvittik medical college was established. This institute was established by Ministry of health & Family Welfare in the year 1989.
Bangladesh education minister has announced the courses of Gonoshasthaya Samajvittik medical college will be approved later on The University Grants Commission (UGC) of Bangladesh and Ministry of Education.
Gonoshasthaya Samajvittik medical college in co-operative with World Health Organisation WHO)has been listed in AVICENNA Directories of Medicine University of Chopenhagen (a world directory of medical school).
Gonoshasthaya Samajvittik Medical College has four large academic hospital of its own where students are exposed to the health problems of the poor people both in urban and rural areas. There are four hospitals – number one at Savar, number two as Dhanmondi hospital,number three is located at Gazipur and the last one has started its operation at kashinathpur Pabna. A quality hospital opens in Gaibandha There find more than 17 primary heath centres in various part of Bangladesh.
By means of the learning environments for ideal and science methodology. Gonoshasthaya samajy vittik medical college could expect the best prefer among all govt. of the dept. lab; multimedia and computer assist education system; updated clinical thinning facility. and none govt. County Medical College. this institute is now having more than 500 students studying. And over 190 have graduated from this institute in various institutions.
