Army Medical College Jashore

with the approval of Ministry of Health & Family Affairs and is functioning directly under the supervision of Army Welfare Trust (AWT of Bangladesh Army & Area HQ, Jashore. This college is affiliated with BUP and BMDC. BMDC curriculum is followed and examination is conducted as per the policies and guideline of BUP.

General Information:

Army Medical College Jashore (AMCJ) is one of the finest private medical colleges owned by the Bangladesh Army, suitably located in the historical district of Jashore adjacent to Jashore Cantonment. This renowned medical college was inaugurated by the Honorable Prime Minister of the People Republic of Bangladesh in 2015 on 9.18 acres area of college campus.

Since its journey, AMCJ has been making continuous endeavors to meet the modern needs and requirements of BM&DC. Honorable Chief of Army Staff inaugurated the new 03 storied Academic & Administrative Building equipped with modern facilities on 30 March 2023. Presently, this college is operating with two beautiful complexes. These are the academic and administrative complexes and the dormitory complex with twin buildings.

The academic complex comfortably accommodates all the requirements of 11 departments, including other facilities like Laboratory, Histology Lab, Modern Simulation Lab, Class rooms, Tutorial rooms, Common room, Cafeteria, Teacher's room, etc. The dormitory complex is divided into two separate male and female hostels named by two freedom fighters, Lt Col Abdul Hye and Captain Setera Begum (BP), respectively.

AMCJ pursues the curriculum given by BM&DC strictly through an excellent set of faculty and teachers. It always makes an endeavor to pursue the mission and objectives of the college. Besides routine teaching, AMCJ conducts workshops, seminars, and other programs for the development of professional skills for teachers and students.

In 2023, by admitting 08 (eight) foreign students, AMCJ has entered into global medical studies. AMCJ is approved by Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, affiliated with Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP) and recognized by BM&DC. Besides, as a recognition of its excellence, the college is recognized by the World Directory of Medical Schools, the World GMC, the Canadian Medical Council, and the Nepal Medical Council. AMCJ is continuously striving to achieve the standard of Center of Excellence.

Objectives:

To produce medical graduates fulfilling the national goal and objectives of the MBBS course as laid down by the BM&DC.

➤ To provide a quality teaching environment by ensuring competent and experienced faculty members, equipment and other facilities.
➤ To adopt an approach of five-party participation in developing teaching and learning environment
(student, teacher, university, BM&DC and parents).

➤ To arrange exposure of the students with the scholars, society and other medical educational environment both at home and abroad.
➤ To impart lesson to the MBBS students to obtain MBBS degree within stipulated time frame as laid by BM&DC.
