About Kazakh National Medical University

By March 1931 first application process was over with 121 people enrolled. Classes started in April 1931, there was only therapeutic department. 10 chairs provided training of the 1 year students in the foll0wing disciplines: Gross anatomy, histology, hygine, chemistry, physics, biology, philosophy, political economy, physical training and Kazakh language. By fall 1931 medical school enrolled another 168 first year students. Altogether during the first year institute enrolled 289 students.

Creation and development of first 10 university chairs was done thanks to a number of people, who arrived from different cities of our country. These are Professor Bakkal, Isayev, Malinin, Ilyin-Kakuev, Voitkevich, Ochkur, Sidorov, Zikeev, Sizganov, Telyatnikov, Litvinova. Along with them students were taught by the best physicians of our Republic, who also did research work at the University: Bukeihanov, Barlybaiev, Baigurin and others.

According to the section 3 of the decree ? 127 issued by the All-Union committee on higher education at the Council of Commissioners dated April 4 1939 the Statute of medical university was ratified. It specifies the objectives of medical university:

1. To establish a curriculum granting preparation of highly skilled physicians, capable to utilize state of the art achievements

2. Ideological brain-washing of students and faculty in light of Marxism-Leninism

3. Preparation of modern textbooks and manuals

4. Research, advance training for faculty members scientists

5. Popularization of scientific and technical data, latest research information

In Almaty from 20th September for 21st September 2007 year the next International congress « Gastroenterology 2007 » is spent.
Will be discussed new achievements of scientific and practical gastroenterology. In job of the Congress is expected a participation of scientists from distant and near abroad, and also delegates from all areas of Republic Kazakhstan.

Discussed questions:
1. Questions of epidemiology, pathogenesis diagnostics, treatment and preventive maintenance of internal diseases.
2. New technologies of diagnostics of internal diseases.
- Methods of laboratory, immunology diagnostics
- Ultrasonic diagnostics
- Endoscopy diagnostics, etc.

In the rules of the congress are stipulated following forms of performance of materials:
- The report, the publication of materials.
- satellite symposiums for firms - sponsors.

Calendar of the congress:
Reception of applications and reports till 1 August, The program of the congress will be generated on base of applications un till 1st August 2007 year and will be dispatched to participants of the congress.
To lecturers will be submitted multimedia.
The materials at the Congress «Gastroenterology 2007» will be issued at the Congress. To the congress « Gastroenterology 2007 » materials of the congress will be issued.

Requirements to registration of materials:
• Materials are represented in the electronic version;
• A format of represented materials -Microsoft Word;
Parameters of page: a format of page ?4 (no more than 1 page); orientation sheet - book (albom is not accepted); all fields - 25 mm; font Times New Roman 12 pt; a line spacing 1,0; color registration is not supposed, the name of the report - a font fat, capital letters; the heading should not exceed 6-7 words; Surnames and the initials of authors - a font fat, Italics; the Name of the organization - a font fat, italics; Typing in a mode « on width »; Figures, tables, schedules should be duplicated by separate graphic files (disk do not give back).
